Tour Itinerary
Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu, Nepal. TIA serves as a major international airport in Nepal, catering to both domestic and international flights. Upon landing at TIA, our dedicated team will warmly welcome you. They will assist with immigration and visa procedures before facilitating your transfer to your hotel in Kathmandu. After checking in at your hotel, you'll have some free time to rest and acclimatize to the new environment.
Overnight stay in the hotel.
Your second day begins with an informative orientation session, during which you'll receive essential details about your volunteer project. This session will also offer insights into local customs and traditions, ensuring you are well-prepared for your upcoming volunteer work and interactions with the local community.
Following the orientation, we'll embark on a half-day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu, visiting Patan, Boudhanath, and Pashupatinath Temple.
Patan Durbar Square: This historic site is in Lalitpur, a part of the Kathmandu Valley in Nepal. It is one of the three Durbar Squares in the valley, alongside Kathmandu Durbar Square and Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Patan Durbar Square is renowned for its rich cultural heritage and architectural marvels. It was once the royal palace complex of the Malla kings, who ruled over Patan. The square is surrounded by ancient temples, palaces, courtyards, and other structures that showcase the exquisite craftsmanship and artistic traditions of the Newar people.
Boudhanath Stupa: Located in the northeast area of Kathmandu, Boudhanath Stupa is a famous and historic site that attracts numerous tourists. It holds great religious significance as a sacred place for Buddhists. A prominent feature of the stupa is a large statue of Lord Buddha's eye, similar to the Swayambhunath Temple. King Songstan Gampo of Tibet is credited with its construction. Boudhanath Stupa is a popular pilgrimage site known as the "Eyes of Buddha."
Pashupatinath Temple: Situated near Boudha and easily accessible by transportation, Pashupatinath Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is one of Nepal's oldest Hindu temples, built during the era of the Lichhivi Kings. Families and devotees gather here to worship Lord Shiva, with notable celebrations during the "Maha Shivaratri" festival, known as the Night of Lord Shiva. On this auspicious day, people from various regions visit Pashupatinath to offer their prayers.
