Shabdik Pvt Ltd is a translation/research company registered at the Company Registrar's Office, in Kathmandu, Nepal in 2013. The company specializes in providing Nepali-English, and vice-versa, translation services of all types of documents in topics ranging from political, social, legal, environmental, among others. We also provide editing and proof-reading services. We also provide interpretation (oral translation) service in conference, training, one-on-one interviews, and other settings.
Our clients generally include international development organizations, bilateral and multilateral diplomatic agencies and international researchers and trainers. Some of the clients we have worked for are: UNDP, UN Women, ILO, ICIMOD, US embassy, USAID, Winrock International, Mercy Corps, Save the Children, US Peace Corps, and British Council, SNV (HVAP Project) among others.
The types of work we have done include : translation of general documents, reports, questionnaires, PPTs, manuals, contracts, handouts, scripts, news reports, press releases, etc. Additionally, we have also translated videos and audios for subtitling, and transcribed audios recorded in Nepali to English for research purposes. We have provided trainings on knowledge management - specifically, story-telling, case-study writing etc.
It was founded by Thakur Amgai, Prawin Adhikari, Nirajan Khanal and Deepak Shah in 2013.

Thakur Amgai has been translating between Nepali and English since 2013. Before that he worked for BBC Media Action as a translator and Nepalnews.com as a journalist.
