Pashupatinath Temple: The temple of Pashupatinath is a large double-roofed pagoda of brass and gilt; the gateway is plated with silver. There is a crematorium outside the temple by the side of the wide but shallow river and the wood surroundings are dotted with small shrines. Its simplicity of form is its principal feature, unique among monumental stupas in the valley in its lack of the appended five shrines of the Buddha. Some consider it represents Adi-Buddha, the first or Primordial Buddha, free of conceptual emanations. Only the steps built into it on the north side, seemingly the ladder that Sakyamuni ascended into Tushita heaven, breaks its uniformity. A thick layer of whitewash coast the dome and the form of a bauble lotus depicted in saffron water colors it. This can be sponsored on various auspicious dates, and is also done annually on Dasain Purne occurring on the Full Moon in September by the Bouddhanath Area Development Committee. Bouddanath the dome, terrace with a remarkable 108 niches filed with stone sculptured deities of the Nyingmapa School's pantheon. They replace the usual five Buddha shrines in defining the content of the stupa-mandala; these images were almost certainly commissioned all at once by Sakya Zangpo in the 16th century, when the present stupa was built or thereafter. On the top of the Stupa, there are five symbols of Water, Ether, air, fire, earth.
Swyambhunath (Monkey Temple): 10 kilometer west from Bauddanath stupa. It is said to be two thousand years old, making it one of the world's oldest and glorious Buddhist chaityas. The Chaitys (Stupa) which forms the main structure is composed of a solid hemisphere of brick and earth supporting an ofty conical spire capped by pinnacle of gilt copper. Panted on the four-sided base of the spire are the al-seeing eyes of Lord Buddha. It is stand a hill as Stupa style.

Day 4 After breakfast tour of Kritipur, Khokana, Bungmati, Pherping and Dakshainkali
After breakfast tour of Kritipur, Khokana, Bungmati, Pherping and Dakshainkali, Overnight at hotel (Approx. 06-07 hrs, 1375mtrs).
Kritipur: Kirtipur is an old village situated on a small hill, 5km southwest of Patan. The village boasts many ancient monuments including the famed temple of tiger-faced Bhairva. In the past there were 12 gates of the town and parts of the old city wall still remain. It was the first place raided by Prithvi Naryan Shah when conquering the Kathmandu Valley and their resistance was so fierce (and retribution so dire) that a tower was erected in the Kathmandu Durbar Square in honor of their value. The main industry in town is the Kirtipur Cottage Industry Centre and most of the residents are either weavers or farmers, so it is a great place to see traditional crafts practiced in traditional surroundings.
Khokana & Bungmati:The twin villages of Bungamati and Khokana date from 16th century and are typical ancient Newar Villages. They are located south of Kathmandu down a rutty road dotted with "chaityas", or shrines, very appropriate for an ancient procession route. Bungamati is famous as the winter home of the Red Machhendra god of Patan who resides every winter in a powerful, Shikhara-style temple. Its spacious courtyard is often used for spreading grain to dry in the sun at harvest time.
Khokana lies next to Bungamati and in between the two villages is the temple of Karya Binayak . Like Bungamati, Khokana is a compact village, with a wide main street running through it. In the middle of the street is the temple of Sikali Mai , Khokana's guardian mother goddess. Khokana has long been famous as an oil-pressing center where mustard seeds are pressed using traditional methods and if you are lucky you will see traditional weaving done by elderly ladies in the sun on the street and courtyards.
Dakshinkali: 23 km far from Kathmandu, Dakshinkali Temple is the famous Shakti-Peeth of Hindu people - a Shakti-Peeth is where worshippers sacrifice animals such as birds or goats to the Hindu goddess Kali. Your tour will be on either Saturday or Tuesday, the worshipping days, and you will encounter hundreds of locals gathered there for blessings and animal sacrifice. On the way up the mountain to this temple, you will pass by many colorful small outdoor shops selling trinkets and offerings like flowers and coconuts to be brought to the temple.
Pharping: A short walk away from Dakshinkali Temple, Pharping is home to many beautiful Buddhist monasteries and the cave of Guru Padmasambhava. Legend has it that the Guru was enlightened in the cave and near the entrance you can still see his handprint in the stone! As we guide you along the village, you can get a glimpse of the starkly different architecture of Buddhist shrines that you can’t find in Kathmandu city.
