We leave Kathmandu at 7:00 am for the 5 -6 hour drive to Chitwan down winding hilly roads and hairpin bends.(Option of flight is also available) Expect to arrive by mid-afternoon. Take your time to check-in and freshen up. We have an exciting evening planned for you! Immerse yourself in the local culture during your late afternoon tour of a Tharu village. At dinner join the locals as you watch the famous Tharu stick dance. (Lunch and Dinner will be provided. Overnight at the resort/hotel.)
After an early morning wakeup call with tea/coffee, you will take a bird-watching tour before returning to the hotel for breakfast. After a short rest you will visit the elephant breeding center and stable. Attractions of the day include a canoe ride on the Rapti River and a 2 hour elephant safari at the Chitwan National Park where you will get to see many species of mammals. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner will be provided. Overnight at the hotel)
After breakfast the next morning, you will return to Kathmandu by bus. (option of flight is also available)
